Camp Massawippi offers recreational, educational and leisure activities to children, youth, and adults with physical disabilities through camp programmes that maximize their abilities and autonomy.
Our camp programmes, offered in English and French to individuals from within the province of Quebec and beyond, are provided in a safe environment that favors the stimulation, development, and social integration of each camper.
Camp Massawippi contributes to families’ quality of life through the respite that participation in our camp programmes provide.
Camp Massawippi collaborates with organizations having similar objectives to facilitate access to adapted sports, recreational, and leisure activities for individuals with special needs.
To fulfill its core mission, Camp Massawippi undertakes philanthropic activities and operates profit generating ancillary activities.
We create a bilingual state-of-the-art camp environment where individuals with a physical disability can embark on a journey of self-discovery.
Through active listening, demonstration of respect for campers’ and clients’ values, culture and right to choose.
Through the creation of an environment whereby campers, families, clients, staff, volunteers, and our partners in all sectors work together to ensure a thriving camp.
We respectfully acknowledge that we are on the traditional and unceded territory of the Abenaki people and the Wabenaki confederacy. We offer our gratitude to the First Nations for their care for, and teachings about, our earth and our relations. May we honour those teachings.
