JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Camp Leader:
- Coordinate arrivals and welcoming of campers;
- Provide support to head counsellors and camp leader;
- Review camper files with Camp Leader;
- Operation and management of day camp resources;
- Ensures good communication with all users, campers, partners, parents, and staff from all sectors (maintenance, catering, etc.);
- The integration of all staff, including but not limited to coordinators, animators, supervisors, lifeguards and nurses;
- Ensures the safety of campers and all contract staff;
- Supervise the programming and carrying out of activities in a way that is safe, fun, interactive and adapted to the reality of customers with disabilities;
- Ensure the distribution of equipment according to the specific needs of campers with respect to all programming activities both on and off site;
- Ensure the maintenance of health measures related to COVID-19.
SALARY AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Salary offered: starting at $21.50/hr (40h/week) + retention bonus

- Experience working in a Day Camp or related field.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Day Camp Leader:
- Responsible for preparing, setting up and welcoming campers to their premises
- Before each start of the session, ensure the needs of their group and communicate them with the camp leader
- Do follow-up meetings with your group
- If there are problematic situations establish a plan with the instructors how to rectify the situation in the days to come
- Ensure good communication with the camp leader
- Leader of your group of counselors
- Manages discipline and conflicts in his group
- Ensure rotations in his class (activities, toilet)
- Responsible for managing the care provided to campers on a daily basis
- Works in collaboration with the Recreational Programs Technician to facilitate the integration of campers in her cabin into the various programs and activities.
- Ensure the maintenance of health measures related to COVID-19.

- Ensure the safety, hygiene and well-being of campers in addition to developing activities
- Assist campers in their activities of daily living (hygiene care, clothing, food, toilet, transfers)
- Welcome campers from Monday to Friday and accompany them when they leave
- Prepare and supervise the various activities intended for campers;
- Promote the development, autonomy and learning of each camper through adapted activities;
- Facilitate daily cleaning of camp programs;
- Cooperate with other employees to create a fun environment where campers’ disabilities are put in second place
- Help campers respect health measures related to COVID-19.

- Responsible for camper’s medical files
- Administer medications and supervise the care of the campers
- Respond to emergencies and administer first aid;
- Participate in educating other staff members on health, hygiene and safety standards, and help to enforce those standards on site;
- Ensure the well-being and comfort of all campers;
- Participate in regular activities, special events and camp life.
- Establishes safety norms and procedures for daily and emergency activities.
